Highway Diaries

This segment is what I like to call Highway Diaries. I personally prefer street style from around the world than editorial pictorials. You are able to see the style of average people. Fashion is just the mere result of style. "Style is the expression of individualism and charisma. Fashion is something that comes after." Finding inspiration from the streets is the perfect way to see what trends would fit in your personal wardrobe. And doesn't hurt to dream and look at beautiful photography.

United Nude x Iris van Herpen SS 2011

I absolutely droll over these booties by the collaboration of United Nude and Iris van Herpen. Obsession is what I have with shoes, it's kind of ridiculous how much I love the artistry of shoemaking. I believe a woman should spend good money on four things: bras, hair, closet, and shoes :) I may not be able to afford these, but a girl can dream.

Coachella Street Style 2011

Music influences a lot of what people do to express themselves, so the street style of the Coachella festival this year had no disappointments. Artists from Indie to Pop perform throughout the weekend and the eccentric choices of wardrobe showed that. There was similiar colors and style such as muted and earthy tones and very laid back boho-indie silhouettes. One year I will be able to attend and see first hand the excitement of the weekend.

Underneath It All

Mona Johannesson for Gravure

I love the energy and raw expression Mona gave in the shoot. You can see the artistry and passion in her eyes. Inspired the 60s/mod inspired make-up with the doe eyes and bold lip. Maybe I'll tryout the look but more tame for everyday.
